A focus on Emergency Communication Devices: Autodiallers
Over recent years, we have found that a high percentage of near miss reports from our Client sites centres largely around autodiallers. Our factsheet on autodiallers summarises the various codes and standards relating to Emergency Communication Devices and the obligations placed upon the owner and the lift service provider to ensure that these devices are compliant.
How could a no-deal Brexit could impact the Lift Industry?
D2E has produced a factsheet to offer our clients an insight into the potential consequences of a no-deal Brexit within the Vertical Transportation (VT) industry and how this could affect your business. This takes into consideration the effects of political, economic, social and technical factors within the industry to enable D2E to offer guidance to our clients.
In December 2018, T&C Training visited D2E’s offices to deliver Statutory Inspection/Thorough Examination Procedures with regards to Lifts (Passenger/Goods/Disabled), Façade Access Equipment and Escalators. The training was delivered to D2E’s Field Associates to provide a greater understanding of the legislation, process and compliance with the Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) and the relevant HSE Guidance contained in report 429/2002.
