 D2E are recruiting for a Lift Engineer Surveyor in London and a Project Manager/Lift Engineer Surveyor in the North of the UK (based in Manchester). Both roles operate within D2E's Field and Projects team. For more information, please find the job descriptions below;

Project Manager/Lift Engineer Surveyor - North of the UK

This role requires the candidate to undertake two key responsibilities. Firstly as an Engineer Surveyor, specialising in the Lifting equipment is to undertake the thorough examination, or inspection, of various types of lifts, lifting machinery, and materials handling equipment to ensure that they comply with current regulatory and statutory requirements. Secondly, the successful candidate will undertake a 'project managers' role, delivering D2E's project assurance services on projects in the North of the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management of various lift and escalator projects across the North, using D2E's project management process to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to specification.
  • Programming VT equipment audits to minimise overdue inspections and to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of VT equipment (lifts, escalators, lifting equipment).
  • Produce electronic examination reports in a professional manner with high-quality standards.
  • Provide, build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised academic qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline which should be at least HNC, HND, NVQ 3 or 4 or equivalent level. You will also have gained a relevant level of practical experience in lift engineering field (minimum of 5 years), which should ideally be a recognised apprenticeship alongside direct relevant site experience.

Thorough Training:

A comprehensive training programme will be provided which will cover all aspects of D2E's project assurance process, audit requirements, a refresher course on relevant codes, and use of IT format and devices. 

Lift Engineer Surveyor - London

Job Description:

The role of Engineer Surveyor, specialising in the Lifting equipment is to undertake the thorough examination, or inspection, of various types of lifts, lifting machinery, and materials handling equipment to ensure that they comply with current regulatory and statutory requirements. The role is based from our London office with travel across a specified region to undertake the inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Programming audits to minimise overdue inspections and to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct audits and assessments of VT equipment (lifts, escalators, lifting equipment)
  • Produce electronic examination reports in a professional manner with high quality standards.
  • Provide, build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met.

Requirements:
