Dean joined D2E in September 2017 with 16 years lift industry experience.
Based in D2E’s Nottingham Office and working within the Midlands area, he will be carrying out site audits, project assurance, writing technical reports and supporting the management of D2E’s growing portfolio in the Midlands by assisting with any local site issues.
Dean's career history began when he started working for a respectable builders’ supplier within the retail industry. During the 5 years he worked there, he progressed to store supervisor and was able to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Retail and Warehousing.
Following his successful time within retail, Dean decided to progress into a trade and joined a well-established, small, independent lift company as an engineer’s assistant. As part of his development, Dean completed an NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation and Commissioning. After two and a half years, Dean became a full install engineer, installing lifts throughout the UK, and then progressing onto a repairs manager's assistant role.
Dean took the opportunity to join a major Lift and Escalator Supplier working within the repairs sales team where he gained experience in surveying, selling and providing lift replacement equipment solutions to customers. This experience allowed Dean to take a step into replacement and repairs project management, and to working on live sites and in occupied buildings fully replacing lift units and carrying out major modifications.
At D2E, Dean will be continue his education with regular project management training and undertaking over 40 RoSPA accredited Health & Safety modules.
