Luqmaan joined D2E towards the end of 2017. He graduated with MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston University.
His core subjects at University focused on engineering principles, fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, electrical and control engineering, green engineering and sustainability. Luqmaan’s final thesis topic titled “Numerical Simulation of Blast Waves and the Structural Response under Blast Loading” used a combination of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to simulate the resulting blast waves from a high yield explosive device and to apply this resulting load on solid structures in order to determine the severity of the damage (or otherwise known as blowing up buildings). The outcome was to recommend new safety features in order to reduce the impact caused by the blast wave.
After leaving university, Luqmaan worked for a well-known major lift supplier, project managing several large-scale projects ranging from £1-10 million in value. His role included programme coordination, customer logistics, financial monitoring, contract management and ensuring site actions were carried out as per specification.
Luqmaan joins D2E to work in a technical support role within the portfolio management side of the company. His key responsibilities include account coordination, asset management, compliance, contract management, managing the audit process, organisation of finances, account support and providing technical advice.
