A time served military engineer, Mike Fairweather joined D2E from outside of the façade access and vertical transport industry 3 years ago.
His practical experience and technical knowledge afforded an easy transition into the industry. Mike’s hands-on approach and willingness to learn enabled Mike to become a truly multi-disciplined engineer within the industry.
Initially training to become D2E’s escalator expert, Mike now concentrates on the management and portfolio of D2E's growing façade access client base. Having completed the SAEMA SAE inspector’s course, and having the previous plant engineering experience, it was an obvious choice for Mike to specialize within the facade access discipline. He has now been working within this side of the business for 3 years, and took to it like a “duck to water”.
Since joining D2E, Mike has completed an FdSc in Lift Engineering at Northampton University and NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
