With safety as one of D2E's core values and working at height being one of the most dangerous activities in construction, we ensure we keep our Clients up to date with the latest codes, standards and regulations by providing factsheets and guidance notes to allow them to evaluate the safety of their installations and working practices.
Marble Arch Place consists of an 18-storey residential tower and a further 7-storey consisting of commercial units, complete with retail at the ground floor. The area is enhanced further with the creation of a new public realm for all. A striking art installation around the front commercial building façade gives the whole development a unique look. D2E were asked to perform Vertical Transportation and Façade Access & Maintenance services from the planning stage of the development. As the development is mixed-use, a range of residential and commercial traffic calculations must be performed to guarantee optimised traffic performance. In addition to this, D2E had to provide a robust Façade Access design for the client within the building parameters and geometry, ensuring the safest methods of Working at Height are utilised and Hierarchy of Risk design procedures are followed.

View Case StudySouth Quay Plaza (SQP) is a residential development truly unique to the Canary Wharf area. Rising to 198m and designed by Foster + Partners and Axis Architects, the building will sit at a 45° angle to provide dual aspect views and to enable sunlight to flood the park at the base of the building. There will be cafes and restaurants on the Ground floor and a residents’ club lounge and terrace on the top floors.

As the Vertical Transportation Consultant, our services include acting as the VT consultant to the design team through the design, procurement, constructions and commissioning phases. D2E have developed a BCO (2014) compliant scheme. Following tge completion of this project, D2E were appointed to manage the VT and FAC assets.
