Michael Fairweather works within D2E’s façade access team, carrying out site and equipment audits, project assurance delivery, writing technical reports, and supporting D2E’s growing façade equipment portfolios including the development of framework agreement contracts and compliance audits.
Qualified with the NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Michael acts as D2E’s Occupational Health & Safety officer, providing expert H&S advice to the team and our Clients. Michael originally trained within the field of escalators when joining D2E and continues to be the company escalator expert.
Notable project involvement includes;
- BMU Design and Project Assurance for Piccadilly Lights.
- Project Assurance for Marble Arch Place and 70 St Mary's Axe.
- Mobilisation handovers from developer to Client for Nova, Victoria.
- Mobilisation handovers from developer to Client for 20 Fenchurch Street.
- Portfolio Management clients include Landsec, JLL, Regent Street Management Direct, Battersea Power Station and CBRE.
Prior to joining D2E, Michael spent 24 years serving in the British Army. During this time, he undertook a number of roles with the Royal Engineers including Field Engineering and Plant Machinery maintenance. He also conducted flying tours with the Army Air Corps. On leaving the army, he worked as the floor manager in a manufacturing plant for military vehicles.
