Richard’s role at D2E within the portfolio management team at D2E involves all aspects of account management. This includes; client liaison, technical advice, project management, financial control, contract management, performance reporting, compliance monitoring, design work, life cycle planning, asset management, safety improvements and tender situations.
Richard’s asset management experience at D2E is mainly within the retail and leisure sectors as an account manager for a prestigious portfolio of shopping centres with a total asset value of over £60m and provides the project assurance of lift replacement and lift modernisation projects.
Prior to his role as an account manager, Richard joined D2E as a field associate, providing project assurance services for lift/escalator replacement and modernisation projects within the retail, residential and commercial sector, as well as site audits, troubleshooting, and writing of specification and client reports including strategic and lifecycle reports for both lifts and escalators.
Richard began his career as an installation engineer working across hydraulic, traction and MRL lifts, as well as full modernisation projects. Quickly progressing to a senior engineer role, he was the lead engineer across many major projects with the responsibility for managing and completing modernisations, installations, rapid response call outs and fault finding. Before moving to D2E, he joined a major lift supplier as an installation engineer and assisted with the development of apprentices within the company.
