Based in D2E’s Manchester Office and working within the North of England and Scotland, Tony Holden carries out project assurance for lift/escalator replacement and modernisation projects within the retail, residential and commercial sector, as well as site audits, troubleshooting, and writing of specification and client reports including strategic and lifecycle reports for both lifts and escalators.
Tony assists with the management of D2E's northern portfolio, which helps to ensure the best possible service to our Clients by having a local representative who can assist with any local sites issues.
Tony’s key responsibilities include the customer coordination, administration and support for client portfolio sites based in the North of the UK, portfolio assurance services and completing of health & safety audits for Clients including intu Retail Services, Merlin Entertainments and BNP Paribas Real Estates.
Tony began his career in the vertical transportation industry as a mate to a lift engineer within a small family run firm. During this time, he developed his knowledge and skills through watching and learning from the experienced lift engineers, as well as undertaking formal education through the format of the industry recognised LEIA modules. After these initial five years, Tony became a fully rounded lift engineer, carrying out all aspects offered by a lift supplier including; manufacturing of lifts from steel work to the finished product; installation, replacement and modernisation; servicing and repairs; completion of thorough examinations, commissioning of lifts; acting as key contact for technical expertise and troubleshooting; and the training of apprentices. He undertook this role for a further 10 years before joining D2E.
