Umair Shah works predominantly within D2E’s vertical transportation design team.
At D2E, Umair has worked on various major design projects with experience in all aspects of vertical transportation design from the preparation phase to specialist design. His experience lies in conducting traffic analysis, creating 2D and 3D models, writing technical vertical transportation specifications and tender facilitation. Umair is also involved with projects in post-design stages to facilitate a smooth construction phase.

Umair has continued to expand his industry knowledge and learn critical skills. He is currently enrolled to LEIA modules to expand his knowledge of lifts and escalators and undergoing extensive Revit training. He is also involved in an internal project to develop an applied traffic analysis system. He has also completed 50+ RoSPA accredited Human Focus Health & Safety modules.
Umair graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a bachelor’s degree in Physics and continued his academic journey to earn a master’s in Engineering Materials from the University of Manchester. From his time at university Umair brings knowledge of applied science and many transferrable skills to our design team at D2E.
