Tony Cox

Tony joined D2E in 2025 as a Field Associate, bringing over 30 years of experience in the lift and escalator industry. He began his career with an apprenticeship at Otis qualifying with an NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for Lifts in 1995. Since then, he has worked across a wide range of manufacturers and systems, developing a rare dual skill set in both lifts and escalators.

Before D2E, Tony spent five years as Principal Engineer at Bluewater Shopping Centre, where he maintained a complex portfolio of 46 lifts and 14 escalators. He played a key role in lifecycle planning for the site, working closely with D2E to develop long-term asset strategies that supported operational performance and asset value.

At D2E, Tony applies his deep technical knowledge across both field and office-based work. His responsibilities include audits, project assurance, compliance surveys, and technical handovers, as well as preparing clear and detailed technical reports and specifications.

Tony’s dual-discipline expertise, combined with his focus on safety and efficiency, makes him a valued contributor to D2E’s high-quality, lifecycle-focused engineering services.
