The One Crown Place development is a mixed used, commercial and residential development located close to the southern boundary of the London Borough of Hackney. The development occupies almost all of the city block surrounded by Crown Place, Earl Street, Wilson Street and Sun Street.
The east building, which consists of a commercial office podium covering ground to level 6, two residential towers, an affordable office space accessed from Earl Street, a number of ground floor retail units, and 4 levels of basement.
Sun Street Terraces consists of a boutique hotel developed behind the façade of the existing Victorian terraced houses.
Challenge
As a mixed use development, the VT strategy needed to accommodate both high-density office space in the podium and high-quality, central London residential apartments.
The two residential towers are supported by triplex group; 1 x 1000kg passenger / firefighting lift; 1 x 1000kg passenger lift and 1 x 1600kg passenger / goods lift.
The office levels in the podium are supported by 5 x 1275kg passenger lifts, a dedicated 1600kg goods lift and 2 x 630kg dedicated firefighting lifts.
Office end of trip facilities in the basement are supported by 2 x 1600kg dedicated cycle lifts.
