Project
Located on the Thames Pathway, Bankside, between Cannon Street Railway Bridge and Southwark Bridge, the Red Lion Court redevelopment project will consist of an 11-storey office led mixed use development. The building will offer circa 240,000 sq ft of office space and 7,500 sq ft of retail space and will be a car free development.
Challenge
The building facades are to be maintained by a single Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) mounted on the roof. Due to planning constraints and a congested plant space, the BMU will be hoisted to a trackway elevated on secondary steels, via a lifting table which will keep the machine below the planning height when not in use.
