James Mills

James joined D2E with extensive experience in Vertical Transportation, having begun his career in the Lift Industry in 2005 with a renowned independent company.

James has built a strong foundation in the Lift Industry, gaining valuable expertise and skills through his NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship. Upon qualification, he advanced to the role of Senior Service Engineer.

James joined D2E in 2015 as a highly respected professional in his field, becoming a key member of the Field Team. Over the years, he has advanced his career and nw serves as Associate Director, overseeing the management of the Field & Projects team and operations.

James combines his management responsibilities with hands-on project assurance delivery for D2E's diverse office-based deliverables, including condition reports, strategic assessments, lifecycle analyses, and performance specifications. Know for his professionalism, dedication, and proactive approach, James excels in collaborating with clients and contractors to ensure efficient issue resolution and successful project outcomes.

James has contributed to several high-profile London projects, showcasing his expertise in Project Assurance across prestigious developments. His portfolio includes landmark buildings such as 40 Leadenhall Street, Marble Arch Place, 70 St Mary Axe, Lucent, and NOVA Victoria.

As a member of the D2E Senior Leadership Team, James plays a key role in shaping the firm's expertise and culture. He leads the Development and Delivery of the training on codes, standards, and project delivery for Associates, while also mentoring and providing onboarding support for new team members.

James earned a Foundation Degree in Lift Engineering (Distinction) from the University of Northampton in July 2021. As part of his commitment to continuous professional growth, he is currently pursuing a Level 5 Apprenticeship in Operations Management with the NCLM.
