Prestige Liberty Tower is a mixed used, majority commercial building located at Dr. Elijah Moses road, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
The building comprises 2 high rise office towers and 1 retail building which includes restaurants and other amenities. Tower A is 47no occupies levels above ground and 4no basement level and rises to 215m. Tower C is 64no occupied levels and access to the same 4no basement levels, rising to 294.8m. Both these towers sit atop ‘Tower B’, which is 4no podium levels and 2no amenity levels.
The Employers were exploring the use of multiple lifts per core to enhance the efficiency of the building’s footprint. This would be the first use of such technology in India and the Employers were seeking further assurance that the decision was correct.
Challenge
D2E applied our considerable experience and knowledge of double deck and other multiple-car technology to reviewing the Prestige Liberty Towers’ VT strategy. D2E conducted a series of traffic modelling simulations for several VT configurations, reporting the optimum results to the Employer.
D2E were able to educate the Employer’s team as to the true benefits and limitations of the technology and guide the team towards an optimum lifting strategy.
